We would be delighted to help you plan your trip to New Zealand, whether that be an escorted tour, an independent self drive, or even a cruise. You can pop in the shop for an initial chat, or ideally make an appointment for a convenient time. We can follow up by phone and email or face to face if you decide to take it further. And if you'd like to discuss stopovers en-route, that's fine too.
Te Anau, South Island, New Zealand
If your trip to New Zealand is a once in a lifetime, then you'll probably want to spend the best part of 3 weeks there in order to enjoy most of the main experiences, and in fact there are several escorted tours that are of around that duration.
Franz Josef Glacier, South Island
But there are of course many variations on what looks like a rather similar route, and sometimes large variations in cost. So when you come to see us, we'll help explain a number of differences.
•   How you can book a tour with VIP home departure included
•   What are the hidden costs, especially with the more budget trips, such as meals and excursions
•   How many key exciting experiences are included, such as an overnight cruise on Milford Sound
•   Whether you'll be in a small group or much larger one (this is partly down to personal preference, but we'll be happy to outline the differences)
•   Whether the price is about right given the quality and location of hotels
•   If you can add stopovers, usually in the Far East
•   What are the pros and cons of the different tour companies
There are also a number of trips that combine New Zealand with Australia, for example AAT Kings 'Highlights of Australia and New Zealand' manages to squeeze several top experiences into 22 days including watching the sunset at Uluru, snorkelling on the Great Barrier Reef, a guided tour of Sydney Opera House, a journey on the spectacular TranzAlpine train in New Zealand, and a lunch cruise on Milford Sound.

The best way to start the ball rolling is to give us a few details such as when you want to go, which tour operators (if any) you've been with before. Making an appointment is ideal as it gives us a chance to check a few things in advance, but you can always just pop in the shop.
And remember, you never pay a penny more when you book any of these tours through us - the price you pay is the advertised online price, assuming it's accurate.
Driving is very easy in New Zealand, with the roads being quiet and safe. If you'd like help planning a route, please feel free to pop in the shop and we'll give you a few ideas with the help of a wall map.

If you need some help with your route, then we'll start you off with an typical itinerary. For example, we have a 22 day trip that sees the very best of both North and South islands, and then you can tweak it to suit your preferences.
Motorhomes are also popular and easy, and work out great value for money if there are a few of you. The main thing you have to remember is that you must stick to official sites - you can't just stop anywhere for the night. And don't forget that a big part of the overall cost is the insurance which is not always shown in a 'headline price'. Our quotes will include everything you need including full insurance.
Many customers choose to book just flights and car hire with us and keep the itinerary flexible. Alternatively if you like to have everything booked in advance, then we will provide a quote including accommodation throughout. We can recommend hotels in each location, please just let us know if you'd like value, superior, or deluxe hotels.
There are a few other things that you might want to pre-book such as the ferry between North and South islands, the train between Greymouth and Christchurch, and the Milford and Doubtful Sound cruises, especially if you'd like to stay on board overnight. Again we'll include any of these in the overall quotation.

New Zealand Self Drive
The best way to start the ball rolling is to give us a few brief details about your requirements and make an appointment to come in at a later date. That way we can prepare a quick itinerary for you ready for when you come in.
As many of the main sights are within easy reach of the coast, cruising is a very easy and relaxing way to see New Zealand, and also great value for money. And there's another hidden benefit too - some cruises have a day or two in Milford and/or Doubtful Sound.
Milford Sound, South Island
For example, Celebrity have a 12 night cruise from Auckland to Sydney that includes sailings in both Milford Sound and Doubtful Sound, before heading to Tasmania and then ending in Sydney.
As most cruises either depart from or arrive in Australia, it opens up the chance to see a little bit of Australia too. So you could build quite a nice tailor made itinerary around it, for example, fly to Auckland and spend a couple of days, then hire a car and have a few days in Rotorua (for the geysers), then head back to Auckland for your cruise, sail around New Zealand and disembark in Sydney. Then a few days in Sydney and finish your trip on the tropical beaches of Port Douglas near Cairns.
The best way to start the ball rolling is to give us a few brief details about your requirements and make an appointment to come in at a later date. That way we can prepare a couple of options for you ready for when you come in.
And remember, you never pay a penny more when you book any of these cruises through us - the price you pay is the advertised online price, assuming it's accurate.
