We would be delighted to help you plan a safari, whether that be on its own, or with a beach extension, and answer any questions you may have especially nearer the time when you're thinking about clothing, money, etc.

N.B. The example prices shown on this page should be seen as a very rough guide only - changes in flight costs and other factors mean that they can vary considerably. Key things to note - July and August are the most expensive months, June is generally cheaper and should be out of the rainy season by then, while September is a fantastic month to go due to the migration. Finally, please book early - the earlier you book the cheaper it will be.

Add a beach stay after your Kenya safari

After your safari, you can have a few days relaxing on the beach. The simplest option is to fly to Mombasa where there's a wide choice of hotels for all budgets. However there's one we've used for many years and which always gets amazing feedback.

Pinewood Beach & Spa Resort, Mombasa

Pinewood Beach is a small / medium 4* hotel with a relaxed ambience, friendly staff, and a much more personal feel to it than some other hotels. The highlight is the superb white sandy beach but many of our customers love the gardens which are filled with birds and monkeys. By the main restaurant is a most beautiful fish pond. Bright yellow Golden Palm Weavers are here and you could spend the whole time just watching them.

Every evening there is a different theme, so it could be from an English Roast to a Mongolian dinner. It is also possible to have candlelit dinners on the beach. The food is good and fresh, and because they have a vegetable garden some guests even pick their own vegetables for the chef to cook for them. There is also an informal, cosy restaurant down at the beach in a magical setting. Here you may be served a BBQ dinner with entertainment. And if you like pizza then try the pizza oven near the beach. This is actually built into some old coral, and the chef here makes delicious thin-crust pizzas. All the ingredients he uses are fresh.

You can see more information on their website - click here

Typical Cost for September 2019 with 7 night safari (Full Board) + 7 nights at Pinewood Beach (Half Board):     £2895 per person - INCLDES flights, all accommodation, all meals on safari, all game drives, and all transfers, plus daily breakfast and dinner in Mombasa.
Alternatively, from £2295 per person in the low season (June 2019) and from £3195 per person in the high season (August 2019).
All prices are subject to change and vary due to flight costs - please book early to get the lowest price. Mara Ballooning option - £275 per person.

Please contact us to get the exact cost for a full safari and beach package, which will include all flights, all transfers, all accommodation, game drives, meals on safari, breakfast and dinner in Mombasa (all inclusive option available).

Safaris - other options

As well as Kenya, we also offer safaris in Tanzania, Botswana, Zambia, South Africa and Namibia.

  Masai Mara, Kenya

Safaris in Tanzania are similar to those in Kenya in that they are often combined with a beach stay, usually Zanzibar if you're going to Tanzania, and Mombasa if you're going to Kenya.
Safaris in South Africa, Zambia and Namibia are usually short 3 night safaris included in a longer overall itinerary.

If you're unsure about all the different options, please come and see us. We'll show you the different ways that you can enjoy a safari, and their pros and cons, and give an indication of the best places to go, what times of year to avoid, and roughly how much they cost. One question is how much of your holiday do you want seeing wildlife? Is it the main reason for going, and does something like a week on safari visiting different game parks sound good? Or is 3 days and 1 game park enough?

We'll show you a few examples, and answer any questions you may have such as luggage, medication and clothing.

We'll also help you with the flights, and any airport hotels and/or car parking if it makes things easier for you. You may decide to travel out a day or two in advance of the safari, and there can be good reasons for doing so. For example, in Nairobi, Kenya, you can visit the World famous Giraffe Sanctuary and the Daphne Sheldrick elephant orphanage. Both of these can ben booked as an extension to a Kenya safari.

You can book all these tour operators through us... and more

The best way to start the ball rolling is to give us a few details such as when you want to go. Making an appointment is ideal as it gives us a chance to check a few things in advance, but you can always just pop in the shop.
