A perfect Greek Resort with a beautiful beach and tavernas lining the promenade

Parga is an almost perfect holiday resort - it's colourful, has a couple of excellent beaches, lots of cafes and restaurants, and even a Venetian castle!

For my own trip, we stayed a little way out of town up the hill - this meant brilliant views and a nice walk through the cobbled streets down to the promenade for morning coffee, but it also meant a bit of a walk back uphill later in the day.

There were a couple of options for the beach - a smaller one down just past the main section of restaurants, or a much bigger one around the headland from the town (Valtos Beach) - in fact there's a few places to stay near here if you like big wide beaches.

The town and promenade offered lots of places to eat and drink during the day, and plenty of inviting tavernas for an evening meal either overlooking the sea or down by the promenade. Cocktail bars with chilled music playing the background made the perfect end to the day!

There are a number of hotels and apartments that I can recommend but please note that some of them are a little further out of town, and if you have walking difficulties it might be best to got for a more central option.

Recommended Hotels and Apartments

• Villa Stefanos (3*, self catering) - really nice modern studios, located up the hill from Valtos Beach
• Acrothea Hotel (3*, Bed & Breakfast) - a small hotel close to the centre of the town and beach, so an easy short walk to both - it has a restaurant with beautiful views to the sea
• Salvator Hotel Villas & Spa (4*, Bed & Breakfast) - stylish hotel located out of town, perfect for days by the pool with gorgeous views and a homely and welcoming atmosphere, but there is a shuttle bus running throughout the day if you want to get to the beach
• Parga Beach Resort (4*, Bed & Breakfast, BEST SELLING) - beachfront hotel with different pool areas and restaurants, all in a garden setting. There's also a few local restaurants or Parga Town a little further away.
• Somnus Suites (4*, Bed & Breakfast) - adult only hotel close to Valtos Beach in a peaceful location. Rooms come with a private plunge pool.
• LivingHome Suites (4*, Self Catering) - modern suites located slightly up the hill from the centre, which is just a short walk away. A real home from home feel and a couple of small pools.
• We also have a 2 bedroom cottage (sleeps 4) near Valtos Beach and 2 beautiful stone built villas (both sleep 4) located near Valtos Beach. Please ask for details.

Package Prices

Based on a week in early June 2025, including flights from London Stansted, package prices range from around £800 per person up to around £1,800 per person. Please let us know your possible dates, and we'll advise the exact prices.
